I mistakenly included my daughter's name in my application (Who is already a canadian citizen), so they put my file for review and it sat there for the longest time. I did my medicals and paid rprf. Nobody actually looke to resolve the issue. That was the reason why its taking me so long.
I think cic is being ridiculous to put special review for you including your daughter in your application. It doesn't sound like you have to leave the country tho. Good luck.

Did anyone noticed that cic has not updated WP processing time in a while?
The last update was on December 4th for applications received on August 10 and August 5 ... They skipped 2 weekly updates already.
If we add about 20 days to August 10, cic should be working on applications received by August 30 now. However with them skipping regular updates who dafuq knows if they had processed WP as usual ???

What happened was that they created a UCI number for my daughter who was already a Canadian citizen and they also sent medical request for her. Lets hope for the best.

I still recommend that everyone applies for BOWP on the day when 4 months are remaining and do it through paper based application. This would give you a month to think about plan B without u being on restoration after the processing of the application. Implied status is risky business.

Sounds good - CIC's Holiday Season started as early as December 5th.

My first BOWP was approved between Christmas and New Years last year so maybe not...

My boyfriend called CIC today to ask about BOWP. He said the positive eligibility is an internal flag and we have no way of knowing if we have it or not. He did say that we will be given another BOWP based on the fact that we already have one but to mention it in the letter of explanation.

Hello,

Does anyone know if there is any correspondence before a decision is made for a paper BWOP application? I know that for the online application you can check the status online, but I doubt there is this possibility for the paper one. Is there an email address to ask for infos? If anyone applied for a paper BWOP previously, can please tell me how they got in touch with CIC? Or CIC got in touch with them?

Thank you
Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Use their online form and choose the correct subject line from the drop down menu.

From previous experience, there was no correspondence, they simply approved it -- of course, only if you submitted all the correct information and documents required. Sometimes, you get an automatic email which says that there was an update in your MyCIC account. Some of them are ghost mails not indicating any update. This might be a bug and can be ignored. Towards the end, you will receive another such email which is when your case has been finalized.

Hii guys,
i applied for my Second BOWP on September 9th with AOR and got it approved on 12th Dec.
So rules remain the same for old CEC applications.
Good Luck to you all.................. :)

Wow, that went quick. I applied a week before that for my second one and still haven't heard back. :( Hoping for good news by the end of the year. The processing times seem good right now. Thanks for the update.

Just confirmed with call center agent, you must have your PR application eligibility status as 'passed' in order to get BOWP. :o
