I have applied October, 3 and got first ghost email on Nov., 1.
It seems it is just automatic thing. Who knows why they do that.

Either God (read CIC in this case) or Ghost knows the reason....

Hey guys, I got an email from cic saying that my BOWP application was updated. I accessed mycic and it's approved When I receive it in a couple of weeks I'll let you know for how long.

And I got another email from CIC. I was worried because I thought that maybe it was an error on the first email, but no. It was just to let me know that there was a letter on mycic saying that the work permit was approved and that the validity is until the 12 of February of 2017. So one year.

So, am I right in saying that some Nov 15 BOWP applicants have received it already?

I'm not sure how accurate their processing times are!

Not all...But I have seen one applicant who applied on Nov 3 and got the BOWP approved...Even I applied on Nov 3 but haven't heard anything...
