Just seen now that CIC keeps accumulating delay on processing the applications.

As of 6th March the processing time is 53 days and they were working Jan 11 applications!

I gues I still have to wait for getting my permit.

I had applied for BOWP (online application) on Jan 19th and got approval on Mar 10.

I received bowp approval today. However the letter is dated 9 March but been e mailed only today.

Congrats for the BOWP, I guess the stress is partially released now
May I ask some details about the receivment? Is the BOWP coming in priority mail? Do you have to sign something when receiving it? Or canadapost just simple dropping it off in the mailbox regardless the recepiant is at home or not? I'm only curious because I also applied on paper but haven't received anything yet, however I'm planning to travel to Europe soon and might not be able to receive it in person.

just to update guys.

Today I got work permit (on paper) through Canada post & it was normal mail not as priority mail. They dropped in our mail box. Mine was approved on 9th march.

Congrats for you too Kota and thanks for the info. Hopefully I will also get it soon but the 103 days processing time is quite painful..

I've been informed by two different CIC call centre people that you cannot apply for BOWP online. Does anyone know if this is total BS as I understand some people have applied online and have gotten their work permit.

i want to apply for a BOWP...

im a BCPNP nominee... i already sent my pr application last nov12. but i havent got any aor..but they deducted 550 already in my credit card last feb12.. my current close work permit will expire on the 18th of april.. i will just renew now coz i just got my passport back which is i renewed as well.. but im afraid that if i apply BOWP they will just refuse me and by that time my wp is already expired.. if i will renew BOWP what documents should i submit? and what should i put in my explanation letter? please help me figure this out. thank you so much in advance!

im just confused because when i check online the processing of BOWP (Online Processing) 53 Days and Jan. 11 applications.
And i see some post that their application is already approved (Jan 21 application).

Which one is true guys?
