BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi Guys.
I applied BOWP Feb.18.2015 by Paper, but I didn't get BOWP.
I'm working now and my current WP will be expire June.6. 2015.
I have a question.
After June.6(this week), can I keep to work without BOWP or do I have to stop working until I get BOWP?

Since u already submitted your application, you will be on implied status after june 6. You can keep working until your receive your BOWP although your current work permit would have expired.

Hi,

PR under CEC applied in sep 2014.
closed work permit expiring on 04-sep-2015,
wife is on vistor visa , this vistot visa alos expires on 04-sep-2015.
I am planning to apply BOWP for me and spouse OWP fro my wife.
can I do both of them at the same time online?
will they be two different applications?
what are the photo requirements for online application ?
what is the fee for BOEP and SOWP?

The below in bold is incorrect - one can keep working and the only condition is that if the WP which expired was a closed permit then the person can keep working but only for the employer on the WP and also in the same role and location as stated in the WP

Looking at the processing times, you probably have about a month until you hear on your BOWP:

When your work permit expires whilst waiting for a BOWP, typically you will need to stop working, but you can remain in Canada under 'implied status'.

Looks likely that your BOWP will be processing about the same time as your WP expires. You may get lucky and receive it prior to your WP expires, or you may have to take a few days off work.

Hi guys,

Just about to apply for my second BOWP, current one expires 20th Aug, applied for PR June 27 2014, I've done medicals in March but no further update. I'm just checking that there hasn't been any changes to it since I last applied? Well other than the increase in fee? I have all the forms ready to upload but seems like they're having issues on the wizard and myCIC. I completed the wizard last night got halfway through uploading files and they all vanished. Now retrying the online wizard fails at about the 5th page of questions, anyone else having this problem?

Call centre saying I can't apply for BOWP online, when did this change? Anyone else applied for it recently online?

Call Centre is telling lies, call again and take their name and tell them you will report to your MP and you will see how they change tact and start saying, oh, sorry, I mistook that for something else ................

Nice, I'm not looking to be malicious, just whether someone else has had this issue? She emailed me an application package that had no helpful links. I did however find an updated procedure/guidance for BOWP on may 20th, that doesn't mention it having to be sent by post http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/temp/work/prov/bridging.asp

I may however just send it by post if the website doesn't get repaired within the next day as I am going away, and would prefer to have just applied and get it processing.

Hi,
I have already received Medical request on Jan 2015 but no update from CIC since then.
My OWP is expiring on 11th September, so I am applying for BOWP.
My wife also has open work permit, which she got based on Spousal open work permit, which is expiring on 11th September too. My wife is not working and she has no plan to work for more than a year.
Do I need to apply for extending her OWP too, or I can apply for something else. I dont want her to loose OHIP, as we are expecting baby in September 1st week.

I am working in Canada now.I am applying the BOWP for me and my wife.
My wife is in China now. We plan to apply a visitor visa for her as the PR is not avilable in few months.
My question is how my wife can get the BOWP.
If she came Canada before BOWP approval with only the visotor visa, how could we get her BOWP as she will in Canada at that time?
If she came Canada after the BOWP approval, Where can she get the BOWP from?
If she stay in China and wait for the BOWP, will CIC sent the BOWP to her by mail?

My "post grad OWP" expires on Nov 7th 2015. I'm currently working.
Wanted to know when will be the right time to apply BOWP and what is the processing time for BOWP ?
