BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

My BOWP got approved on Dec24th but havent recieved my hard copy yet.

Quick question my dear friends : for a proof that ur eligible for PR do u just save the email with the confirmation that ur accepted along with your File number and attach to the online application ?

or is there something else you need ?

just one more question that whole digital signature thing ? for some reason its showing invisible in the form . Just for my piece of mind can i print and then sign it and scan it and upload it ?

you don't need any signature for online applications.

You sure ? it says to digitally sign !! :/ have u applied online as well ? Im just making sure coz u know getting a rejection for a silly reason like this would be tough

I did and received the hard copy. the last step of online application asks you to type your name as digital signature. Also, you can type your name on Signature section in IMM5710E form. just type your full name. If you still not sure or can't trust what I said 8), take a look at this http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=740&t=23

a copy of your AOR and just a letter explaining what you applying for. Also, your work permit if you don't upload it at the travel document section. please search "Tips for successful BOWP application" to find more info.

Dont need to provide any additional application form. There is no such additional application form for bowp. I only uploaded a copy of aor, my current work permit and explanation letter for what I actually apply and why I am eligible as additional documents, not applications. When it comes to applications, you only need to upload family info form and IMM5710E which is mandatory

And the last condition means that when you fill up the application form IMM5710, you need to choose open work permit in the section of "What types of work permit are you applying for". You will see what I mean when you start filling up your application form. Made application doesn't mean you have applied it before, it means just an application for open work permit has to be used.

However, the most important thing you need to submit is AOR, you can't apply BOWP along with CEC applications as they are processed at totally different offices. If you haven't applied CEC, do it first and wait for the AOR to apply BOWP. There are few people who got their BOWP before AOR so, you should search the post and try what other people did. BUT FIRST, you need to apply CEC before you do something.

I understand why this condition might be confusing. It seems to say that to be eligible to apply for a BOWP, you must previously have applied for an open work permit. This isn't the case. What it's really saying is: an application for a BOWP is an application for an open work permit from a person who meets all the other conditions.
