Processing is now 30 days and they are working on sept 17 applications

Paper apps still aren't any faster! For Pete's sake.

And they never will. ;D

It seems that way. I expected a commensurate reduction in the paper application time. Heck, a one-day reduction would have been nice.

Time for a Vegreville road trip... :D

Ya no kidding. But since paper applications are still involving different forms and probably forms
filled in by hand it will always take more time to check than reading a pdf document
on a computer and checking forms that way.

I guess, that once they're all caught up with the backlog we will see faster processing times.

Could someone who got their BOWP approved please check this question
for me and confirm the answers??

Good idea - it may also be worth creating columns for AOR submitted with application and expiry of current WP so that we can see who is getting through despite not always having AOR or 4 months or less on WP?

Hi all,

I hope you can help me with figuring out my following concern.

My TRV was expired in September due to my expiration of my old passport. Now I have my BOWP approved. I am thinking of applying for new TRV.
If I apply for single entry visa, can I go to my country and come back?
Or am I using it at the time of approval?
So do I need to apply for multiple entry visa to go back to my country and return?

Thank you

Has anyone got their BOWPs recently who had applied for BOWP after 19th Sept, 2013? I am specifically looking for the people who has their current work permit validity more than 4 months. Any help in this matter is highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Kunishsa

Your PR approval and TRV application are not related , Once your PR is approved CIC will ask for passport to stamp immigrant visa. To land as PR you need a immigrant visa. At that time even if you have a TRV it does not matter. So always apply for multiple entry TRV, it can be helpful in case of another emergency travel while you wait for PR.

Thank you Dima. My only concern at this time is going back for any emergency. Otherwise, I am not planning for any trip before I get PR. So do you think that the single entry is not enough?

In that case go for single entry and save $75.
