BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi All,

If I apply for PR under CEC, get AOR in 45-60 days and then apply immediately for BOWP, and get it after 30ish days... will the BOWP stay valid for the year if my PR application is rejected? Could I be asked to leave the country or something and would that trump that?

I am doubtful that my application will be ultimately successful, but there is a chance that it will be so I am going to apply. Want to cover my bases on this BOWP thing though.

No need for that. Whenever you include details about a possible employer,
chances are you don't get an open work permit, but a closed one.

For BOWP application, for online application AOR letter recieved in email rt, so do v copy the email contents in word document and make a pdf or is there any better way?

Yes, that would work. Than way you can attach a letter too if you have to.

How long does it take to receive the BOWP hard copy from the date the CIC mail the workpermit.
Also from which location the work permit gets mailed?
Mine was mailed on Sept 26 and i did npt receive it.

You can download "Bull Zip PDF convertor" or any similar software and then print (or convert) your e-mail to PDF.

I received my BOWP yesterday. It was approved on 25 Spetember and valid until Nov-2014.

My paper application reached CIC on 30 July, so it took them 57 days to process my application. I'd selected " A Work permit with the same employer" for question 3 in my IMM5710E form. I'd this because my BOWP was based on my FSW2 application with Arranged employment, but people applying based on 6their CEC application can choose " A work permit with new employer"

Since the PAFSO strike is done now you can expect the processing times to improve.

hi any one apply for BOWP after 22 August get a approved recently. I have not get any replay from CIC yet.any one is on the same boat! Please update ..
