BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Snehith applied 24 sept and has 4+ months

Snehith actually applied on 17th September for BOWP. Can you please verify the actual post from Snehith. But someone replying to that quoted wrongly as 24 September it seems. Am I looking correct screens? or Was there something wrong with my links?

Got my BOWP approved today with one year validity.

Applied online on - 1st Oct 2013
Approval email on - 30th Oct 2013.

Congrats!! That's good news. How long was your previous WP valid for?? Have you had more than 4 months left?

I applied wen it was exactly four months on dot. my previous work permit was till 1st Feb 2014. and I got my AOR only on 28th Sept. so everything worked perfect for me with gods grace.

Validity is till Oct 28th 2014.

Well reading the above I figure one cannot apply if you have more than 4 months left on your WP. Guess I will have to wait then.

Yes, that's why I was asking. The new revised OB485-A doesn't allow applications with more
than 4 months left on current WP. So I'm checking whether someone tried and got lucky with more
than 4 months remaining or not. I'll make sure to wait and apply when I become eligible, since my WP
is still valid until 31-Mar-2014.

Yeah mine is valid till Jun 2014. Guess we both need to wait for AOR first

Quick question: when decision on application is made, you get an email telling you you have a message in the MyCIC secure area, right? Or have I misunderstood?

I got my BOWP by mail 4 days before I have received the actual email.

Ya, my last work permit i did not even get an email from cic, never! I checked my MyCIC account every
now and then and one day the message was there, but no email notification.
