BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

I am trying to apply open WorkPermit through BOWP channel and there are couple of questions that are confusing me...

One of the question is

Is your family member staying in Canada for more than 6 months AND has lived in one or more designated countries or territories for more than six months in the last year?

- Yes my family member have lived more than 6 months ...bit they have not lived in the designated countries more than 6 months in the last year.

In that case, I guess the answer is NO.

Please help!

MyCIC for online applications has gone all wacky.

I have started my BOWP application a week ago, it is saved on the system but not yet submitted.

Just went into it and it wont let me access my saved application - makes me do the interview again and is now saying I need an LMO!!!

I did read somewhere that once it's submitted, you can't access/see the files anymore. Perhaps that's what happened? Perhaps someone at the call center can check it out for you. I had a nice guy on the phone this week who went into the system to check up on my file without me asking for it!

thanks LCM21 - but I think that was after the form was submitted. Mine was just saved. I think I figured out what has happened - there is an updated form (be sure to download it again before you send your application IMM5710) and they've changed some of the "rules" in the interview.... previously one of the questions was:
"Have you been told by a Citizenship and Immigration Canada office that you are approved in principle for permanent residence in Canada?"
Previously I put "no" - as I havent received my AOR - and it allowed me to still continue an application. But today it promoted me to answer the questions again and I put "no" again - ends up saying I need an LMO. So I changed the answer to "yes" and it let me go through to the application. I'm submitting and explanation letter and the OB 485... hoping it will all go through okay. stressful times.

Whew thanks for sharing! I noticed they updated some files on the 4th but thought it didn't apply to the BOWP forms. I am sending my application tomorrow and will also just answer "yes" to the question and include the letter.

Fingers crossed for both of us aand! Hope it'll work without AOR...

Called the regular info number... Don't think it was the CPP-O.

Yes. Don't know of any other numbers.

Although... I found somewhere online -supposedly- the phone number of the CIO office: 1.613.944.4000. Haven't tried calling it though.

Mycic is working fine. I guess u had some issue ...may be you are checking BOWP status too frequently...

By the way when did u applied for it ? I applied on 1st April
