BOWP - How many of you have applied and received it successfully?

Hi I am just wondering how can I get my personal checklist code if I would like to apply for BOWP online? I applied for PR under CEC and I have received AOR. My current work permit will expire Jan 2015.

I went through the CIC website for determining eligibility and if I answer none of the above for work situation (since I am holding PGWP it does seem like none of the options available applies) and no LMO (under PGWP there won't be LMO) I will get a message saying that I am not eligible to apply for an extension. I wonder if I should pick something else. Can anyone please help? Thanks!

Why do you think you will get the message saying you are not eligable.. You have AOR and your current PGWP will expire within 4 months .. As long as you state that you have already applied for PR and have been approved as a principal applicant , and state that you do not have LMO or a job offer it should give you an option to apply for an open work permit.

Thanks for your reply! I thought I should check that I have a job offer since I am currently working...... but once I tried again by selecting no job offer then it works.

I am in the same situation.. Currently working for a company but applied for BOWP with no job offer from a different company.. great thing about BOWP is that you don't need to have one.. Hopefully we get it soon !

Do we need to provide Job letter (to prove you are currently employed) or job offer when applying for BOWP?

On document checklist, it lists as one of the requirements.

this is my first time in this forum, Can I ask some question regarding my status. I just received my AINP nomination a couple of week ago. I just submit my application to CIO sydney this week. My work permit is expiring very soon. Can I ask if I am able to apply BOWP without having my AOR.

I haven't received yet, It has passed more than 1 week, I think this is a little strange..

I just applied online last week. They require the online checklist code before you can apply online. So I don't think you can use the document checklist unless you are applying via paper forms.

You need to answer the questionnaire. I did it a couple of times because the first result was I am not eligible so I changed some of my answers then got work permit results. They don't require the AOR in the checklist, I assumed they can cross check your name in their database if you have an AOR already but it is highly recommended by this forum to attach the AOR. I attached the AOR on my explanation letter.

They say follow up with them if you don't receive it in 6 weeks.

I have called CIC today about this BOWP delay.
They said they have sent a mail on the same day when BOWP was approved,
and they will send it again if it is not delivered within 6 weeks from the they it was approved.
Only we can do now is just waiting for 6 weeks.
