Wow! Congratulations!Prat1980 said:Hi Guys,
I applied on July 11th and today (Aug 6) when I checked online, I found that my application is approved and application status is closed. My existing WP was expiring on Nov 15 this year. I was hesitant initially to apply few days ahead of the 4 month deadline, but I must consider myself lucky or CIC might have ignored as it was too close to the 4 month deadline. Anyway, just want to share my experience guys. Good luck to all who have applied and Congrats to all who have received.
Cheers,
P
No (BOWP does not require a job offer).milleth082002 said:Hello Everyone!
Please help me, we are now preparing to apply BOWP online and I need some clarifications regarding family application at the same time (spouse SOWP & children study permit). Here's some questions that I'm so confuse. Expiry of all our permits will be this Sept 12, 2014.
1. Do you have a written job offer?
I'm not sure why it's asking this - perhaps you could share your answers for the preceding questions? In particular, at some point you should have been asked whether you have applied for permanent residence, and that you have been told you are eligible (select "Yes" - in this context, what they're really asking is do you have an AOR)milleth082002 said:2. Which situation best describe your work?
- working under international agreement
- eligible for a work permit on active pilot programs
- none of the above ( if i select this one follow up question would be LMO requirements)
milleth082002 said:3. What is your family members current immigration status in Canada?
- visitor (I choose this one)
- worker
- temporary permit holder
spouse - open work permit (SOWP), dependant child ( open work permit), dependant child (study permit)MenicMonday said:^^Check pp133-134, my reply to Isabel Ruiz might help.
For #3, it depends on their current status: are they just tourists or holders of WP/SP? I used one of these for my spouse/dependents.

Is it should be No?
Worker. You can only apply for a BOWP if you have a current work permit that is due to expire within four months.
(sorry, just saw the "family member" part - anyone else have an idea on this?)
Thanks LPS, I change it to "No", no more question to describe work situation.LPS said:No (BOWP does not require a job offer).

Looks good to me, as i recently applied for self, wife and kid.
Moreover should i upload photoes of mine only. What about my wifes?
I included my wife's photo in supporting document section.
what about AOR.where should i upload that?
No AOR to be included, just write a covering letter and mention your AOR number. They will definitely pull your records based on your UCI number.
In the questionare
do you have a written job offer?
I answered yes for this.Is it right or not.
I had answered it no, as i didn't had job at that time.
Please correct me if i am wrong or else do we need to upload any additional douemtns other than this.
No additional documents required. Ensure you write a detailed covering letter.
Hope this helps all the best.
Thanks
