Hi All,

So I received a BOWP while I was waiting on my PR application to progress; shortly after that I received a rejection letter on my PR application because my case worker felt that my NOC code for my work experience didnt accurately reflect my roles and responsibilities. I am now intending to re-apply for PR next month (as I have another year's work experience in a different position); does anyone know though whether or not I will be able to apply for another BOWP after I receive a letter of AOR on my second PR application???

Thanks for the help!

Repeat BOWP applications are reviewed on a case to case basis. You can certainly try, but make sure to include a cover letter explaining your situation.

certainly you can apply BOWP again once you met the criteria.

As of now there is no rule as such that you can not apply BOWP second time

Hi,

I just want to share that I just got my 2nd BOWP with no problem. We had the same experience btw ;D

Hello cezycez

Could you please share your experience applying for second BOWP? Did you attach any cover letter?

If someone has a good (or bad) experience with submitting application for a BOWP extension, could you please share it here.

Anyone? Any help from people who have any experience with 2nd BOWP would be greatly appreciated.

A member of this forum applied and also got 2nd BOPW successfully. It was about 2 weeks ago.

So, this week I'm going to apply for second BOWP. My first BOWP I got for the CEC application which has been lately refused. So I reapplied for CEC and got my AOR. Now my first BOWP expires in 1.5 months.
I actually worried that CIC would not issue a second BOWP (although, technically I meet all the requirements for BOWP).
Guys, do you have any suggestions for me before I apply? Should I attach explanation letter? If so, what should I write there?

Thanks in advance.

I believe you should write an explanation Letter in details. The other member had a very strong case to get approved as she was pregnant. The chance to get second BOWP is at the discretion of the VO.

Thanks GHD1213,
But I'm not sure what I can write in explanation letter to make my case stronger in the eyes of VO.

Hey pfse, may I ask what the reason was for the first refusal? If it has been corrected evidently in your second app, you may incorporate it in your cover letter to make it stronger.

I don't have much ideanas very few ppl applied for second one, wait for comments from others.

I don't think there's much to worry about considering it's beyond your control that the PR processing is taking a while.

Here's my understanding:
- You applied for BOWP based on a PR application which was refused eventually (why?)
- You submitted another PR application (when?), and received an AOR
- You want to apply for a BOWP based on this AOR

I'd be more concerned with the 4-year cap for foreign workers as a reason for a denial, if this applies to you.

You understand correctly. My first application has been rejected because my reference letter didn't listed all my responsibilities and duties, so I refused because VO did not find evidence... When I applied for the first time I thought that reference letter with job title, wage and duration should be enough...

I'm not concerned about 4-year cap as it seems it does not apply for BOWP and NOC A.

Any way, currently I have been 3 years and 1 month to Canada.

For me, there are two schools of thought in play:

- You are applying for a BOWP based on a new/different application, and hence, it's as if you are starting from scratch (this is my generous perspective). It's understandable that you need a BOWP since the new application will take time

- You fall under the following excerpt from the OB-485A:
"Subsequent requests from applicants to extend their stay on an open WP will be considered on a case-by-case basis"
