BOWP- Am I exempt from LMIA?

Hi Friends,

I am currently holding PGWP and want to apply BOWP under express entry. There is a question my immigration consultant sent me asking "Is the worker exempt from labour market impact assessment?"

I assume the answer is yes? since I am currently working without a LMIA and my work doesn't have restrictions.

any ideas?

You are paying an immigration consultant and he/she is asking you for the answer to a simple question. Seriously, the consultant doesn’t know? Fire the consultant, and since you have AOR do the BOWP application yourself. You are correct.

BOWP is an open work permit so yes you are exempt from a LMIA because it is open work permit, like your PGWP. Your consultant should know that !
