Ibague said:hello Sampvic,
i am not really sure how long it takes for the Police certificate to get to the embassy. I have heard that it can take anywhere between 4-8weeks. Did you mail a copy of the receipt you got from the Banco de Occident to the embassy? did you keep a copy for yourself too? maybe you can use that to make some equiries for the police or write directly to embassy and give them the a copy of the receipt from Banco de Occidente
what happened with our case is my wife recieved a letter from the embassy with instructions to pay Banco de Occident and forward the receipt to the embassy, She paid the requested amount in Colombia. At this stage we are not sure if the embassy recieved her PC or not. we are just assuming they got it.
Hi Ibague,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually, I made the payment in my HSBC-Canada bank (wire-transferred to Banco de Occidente). And yes, I had emailed the copy of the bank slip to both aplicantes@procesosec.com and the visa office (Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa) processing my application.
If it is 4-8 weeks for the Colombia PC to be sent to the visa office, I still have to wait since it has just been 5 weeks since I paid in the bank. But I would just like to ask if there's any way to check with Risk Management Colombia if they're processing my Colombia PC or not, if I am waiting for nothing
