Is it okey to use blue ink ballpen in filling out the form?
You should do your forms on the computer. You want CIC to be able to read your application and to process it in a timely manner, with no problems. Besides, some have to be validated on the computer.

This being said - there's a few people who have handwritten their forms and have gotten away with it. Personally I wouldn't risk it. It doesn't present a very good application, and IMO there's no good excuse for handwriting the forms. BUT if you feel you must hand write, use black ink instead of blue.

Black is preferable to blue or any other colour.

Agree for EXACTLY the same reason. Filled 'em out in black (on PC of course), but ALL of our signatures were in "blue"!

It's really your preference. I made the post just to point out that "signing" in blue has no detrimental effect on your application whatsoever. So if you prefer it, than do so.

Yeah, Truesmile is right.. I believe technically it even states somewhere that you should use black ink. I can't begin to imagine the kind of crap the people at CIC have to look at on a daily basis.. just the fact that you are here and worrying about things like that means that you care enough to make a careful application. Looking back at it all, I realize that those small things do not matter as much, and wish I didn't worry as much as I did! Sign in blue or black, I'm pretty sure it won't make a difference.

my husband reads this forum a lot, and i mean aloooooottttttt and he has gathered alot of information and tips for our application. so we are trying to be veryyy careful about our application so that we make no mistakes that delay our process.

i just made an account here, this is my very first post to this forum and as he said, the forums are best to read and ask, even far better than the lawyers, so i started off today. i was a bit against reading the forums because that makes my husband feel down by looking at the timelines of many people but in heart i agree that this forum is really very helpful. and just now i got this help from you two souls answering my question so quickly.

thank you guys for your prompt positive response. truly appreciated :)

Yeah, I understand.. I avoided the forums for a long time because seeing every body else get their visa made me feel blue.. that was before I submitted the application. The hardest thing is to get that application sent off. Then, one day, you will wonder what all the fuss was about 8)
