waahhhhh! nabu-ang naman ning akong account oi. back to zero hinoon ko. hehehehe. anyways, payts ra ni.
@ zakoy: sorry nawala nako imong PM. oks ra kaayo ko karon diri's Edmonton. how's your visa application?
ug ma buang kos akong TAX RETURN diri!!! hehehehe, dako-dako among tax refund karon! mas dako pa among tax refund kay sa among POF hahahahahhahahah
me and my wife got tax deductions from our employer on every paycheck based on our annual salaries, but since we just came here last august 11, tax return says nga bayad mi tax sugod lang Aug 11, as a result, REFUND!!!
also, to think of it noh... mas convenient jud ang tax diri's Canada versus pinas..
back home, the Net income per person is too low, so for people earning above average (even if reality, its just average) - tax would end up too high.
In Canada, net income per person is average, so for people earning average or even above average - the tax is not that high.
my example is:
in pinas, my above average salary taxed me at 36%
here, with average salary im taxed at 16% (Federal) + 10% (Alberta) = 26% (plus 5% kada butang nga paliton)
yet, having an average salary here than having above salary in pinas is more favorable (mas maka kaon ug mas maka save ka ug maayo diri), and to think the amount of work nga akong gi "exert" sa trabaho when I left pinas is wayyyy too much than what my work load is now.
others would think nga "mas mahal" ang tax diri's Canada if you look it in a way nga i convert nimo to pesos equivalent. but if you compute the percentile of the tax against your salary and net income per person, mas pabor jud diri.
at first i thought nga mas nindot ang tax system diri coz makita jud nimo ang imong tax - nga na invest ug sakto... but now I've learned nga mas affordable and mas gamay ang tax diri kay tungod sa 'net income per person' diri kay dako man....
and if you ask me, dako ba ug difference sa ubang province, my answer is YES. sa alberta kay flat rate nga 10%... ubang province (BC, ON) lower but duna sila bracket bracket. however ilang goods tax is at 13% (government and provincial tax), diri's Alberta kay 5% flat.
