My Canadian sponsor only has his short birth certificate. Will they accept this, or does he need to have the long one (Certified Copy of Birth)? :

How abt his Canadian Citizenship card?
Maybe that's not the official stance of CIC, but that's what they told me when I phoned in, that I needed the long form that included my spouse's parents name, place of birth, witnesses, etc.kourts said:oh no, you're saying when I apply I need the long form of the marriage certificate?
