Hello,
I have birth certificate (from India) but without my name on it . So will it be OK ?
Do I have any alternatives to this , can I submit my college leaving certificate/domicile certificate/any other certificate .. ???

Pl suggest.

Thanks!

Better to get your name on the Birth Certificate. I am sure you can get it. Why to take risk.
Make sure it should be in English as well.

Get an Affidavit and it will be accepted.

Thanks SVB & Iamitguy....
I understand better to get birth certificate with name, I am following it with authorities in India. But just in case ....
SVB,Do you mean I can do affidavit at a notary in Canada and submit the same ? you have any format ?

Many Thanks!

Without name birth certificate ??? howz it possible..

The best option is send SSC marks sheet when your birth date, and your father name printed...

Second option is notary... no spl format required for notary.. but make sure to add your father name, and your DOB..

for birth certificate, your educational certificate is accepted only if your DOB and your parents name (either father's or mother's) are printed on it.

Guys/Girls,
India agencies does issue Cert with no name as we have tradition of naming after some days of birth :)
thanks for your answers... I will check if any my marksheets/passing certificates have details.
any one have idea on the Certificate of the Date of Birth issued by High Comission ? I see that option on blsindia-canada.com where they say its not birth certificate but Certificate of DOB ?
has anyone made such thing from blsindia ?
thanks!

Certificate of DOB from blsindia-canada.com will not be accepted by CIC

yes , this will work , It worked for my Spouse as she also don't have DOB certificate

I agree to Omshri as one of my friend (From Alberta) got the certificate from Indian Consulate...CIC did not accept it...Then they had to get an affidavit from an oath commisionor and it was accepted....STrange that you do not accept an official document from a goverment agency but you would accept an affidavit...

Thanks Friends ... anybody can share the format for the DOB affidavit ?
I have my birth certificate without name so thinking it would be good idea to send the affidavit as well.

Cheers!!!
