The agent was very clear and polite. They called my wife rather than me despite being the primary applicant. We asked for an earlier date within ON. But the agent told me that she can assign us only in GTA since they discourage travel due to COVID. Only 2 locations are open in GTA - Scarborough and College St.
I was as well disturbed seeing earlier AOR dates being booked from the same location. But no need to worry. By this speed, they will cover almost all of us within 1 month. It's just that multiple agents are working with multiple lists.
Just be patient, and good luck!

omg everyone, I was just reading all these posts and getting excited that downtown toronto calls started then getting mad that they're coming in such random order. I was in the middle of texting a downtown friend to tell him to keep his phone on and my phone rang with an unknown number!!

She said they just started making calls today, her list started with a feb applicant. The only downtown location they can book downtown residents to is college st and it's booking up fast, I took the earliest time and date she offered.
At that SC there's only 1 desk (as others have mentioned) and 15 min appointments. Don't join the queue of people outside, go straight to the security guard at the door.
Have to bring a mask, pport, and a hard copy of the BIL letter (must be hard copy) so I'm glad I didn't get a next day appointment after all, because I have no easy access to a printer... gotta go to staples or find a friend with a printer.

wow, they filled a week's worth of appointments in the hour between your call and my call!
It looked like GTA had been getting calls for a week or so now (Mississauga, Scarborough, north york, richmond hill etc) but yesterday and today is the first I have heard of downtown residents getting calls - very exciting. I was starting to get super frustrated that downtown was being left out when there's lots of SCs in the GTA and only one in the city.
hopefully vancouver gets the same good news soon.
Brampton folks were getting calls last week Already I think. The patience required for this is almost harder then waiting for R10 checks in the spring!
