Biometrics was done; processing time?

Hello community,

I finished my biometrics today from an ASC in Virginia. On my application portal, it has been updated that biometrics has been completed.
Since IRCC is trying to prioritize study permits for students starting their programs in the Fall, how long can I expect to wait until I hear back?

Hopefully either week or some time in August. A friend of mine attended an IRCC webinar this month and they stated that they will start issuing out "approvals-in-principle" this week and onwards into August before the fall term. You should expect to received either a Medical request from IRCC in your online account or an "approval-in-principle" notice in your email. I'm assuming you haven't done upfront medicals yet right?

How about the applicants who did upfront medical exam? I completed my biometric on 14th July and I did my medical exam on 18th May.

So if I received a medical request I won't receive AIP soon? Thought approval in principle didn't require Medical exam..
