Biometrics in Foreign Country

Hi All,

I am in the process of applying for a Visitors Visa. I am a South African citizen living in the Cayman Islands.
I have been requested to provide biometric details, and have been informed that the consulate on the island cannot assist.

I will be in Nashville Tennessee in two weeks, and wanted to ask whether anyone knows whether I could submit my biometrics while in Nashville despite not being a citizen of the US?

Yes, if you are in the US on valid status, you can submit biometrics there.

You need to make an appointment and the ASC will tell you if there are any other requirements. You can check how to do it here:

I reside in the Cayman Islands, but have a B1/B2 US visitors VISA, I’m not sure if this is a valid status?

There are no appointments available on the dates I am there, going to make an appointment and arrive Early in the morning with the letter to ask if they accept walk ins I guess.

Yes, B1/B2 is valid - basically they don't want people who are living in the US without status. A tourist is on valid status.

You can try and see if they accept walk-ins. You never know. Also you can try calling them I guess.

We are currently residing in Cayman Islands and looking to do our Biometrics. Anyone available to do this on island, as there are currently travel restrictions due to Covid-19.
