1 week ago I submitted my biometrics data at the local embassy. But I haven't gotten a confirmation from the IRCC portal. It still says that I need to get my fingerprints taken.

Has anyone been through this process? Do you get a confirmation/update? And if so, how long does it take?

I'm worried because I submitted on the last day of my 30 day window. I had to do this because the office here only opened once a month.

Thank you! :)

you should be good. They sometimes take a few weeks for biometrics to be updated. It happened to me for my student permit

Hi, I am in the same situation, did they update your status of biometrics? how long did it take?

wow...that's almost 3 months.. it's driving me crazy that there are people who passed it in 1 day, and others that wait for so long =(

Usually it take 1-2 days for the fingerprints to be recognized be CIC.

In my case, fingerprints were received by CIC on the same day, I did them. The Biometrics status changed from "Your action required" to "We do not need you fingerprints". However, it took about 3 weeks for the Biometrics status to finally change to "Completed".

In my case this delay was caused by the CIC investigation as I was overcharged for Biometrics at the time of application submission.

I see, thanks for the update, it's very helpful. I hope mine will get updated soon
