I am applying next week under NOC 2121.

My question is

I worked for 2 yrs as a chemical research scientist.

Do I fall in this NOC 2121 category or not ?

I am very much confused before applying.

How to confirm that, I will fall in this category or not ?

Any suggestions plzz :)

Welcome all,

Glad to hear replies from you all.

Welcome Shijoal,

It seems you have applied in this current year. particularly in which branch of biology you are my friend ? how much is your experience ?

Hi, I am a July applicant. Does anyone have an answer from Canada yet?

Welcome Angelica,

I've got enough answers from VO.

you have joined this blog so you must be a biologist. Tell me Angelica specifically in which field of biology you are? Tell me your country of residence.
Have you applied after June 2011 ? share your experience so we can have an idea about you.

Regards.

Welcome Mavin,

http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/html/NOCBulletin.html

Just check out the link which I have sent you. you will get all the idea about your profession.

You said you are a chemical researcher. According to me you are not falling into this category my friend. This is not your NOC code.

There is a separate NOC code for Biochemists and Chemists like you in the classification. That is 2112. check that NOC and job duties and compare with your duties.

I want to know more things about you Mavin about your country of residence and your age and education.

If you are applying now then one thing I want to suggest you that don't go to crooked consultants. beware of that.

There is nothing to be confused my friend. I hope you will get enough idea now. If you find any question then feel free to ask.

Good luck.

Hi Yash

I got you.

I will fall in 2112 NOC codes.

But my question is, its not in preferred 29 fields.

So, can I apply for PR or not ?

Becoz, as far as I know, we can apply for PR only if we fall in the 20 NOC codes.

Plz throw some light on it.

As I am just trying to know about the application procedures.

Your welcome my friend.

Thats good you are in US. do you have American degrees or Indian degrees ?

Howmuch is your IELTS score ?

As I have already told and I am damn sure you fall in to NOC 2112.

Yeah you have to be in the list given by them. Sorry to say that your occupation is not in that list as you know.

But if you have job offer letter from a Canadian employer then you don't have to worry about that.
