You do realize that the bill is being debated live right? Not everything has a published link the second it happens...for now you'll just have to take everyone's word for it. There will probably be a news release later.

Ok thank you!

Who's this new rookie speaker ?

the speaker is not present in the chamber, so it's either the Speaker pro tempore or any other senator chosen by the senate.

yes she said not to be vote on 3rd reading now but on language amendment

They always confuse me, specially voice some times not clear

I hope the vote for the 60yrs old amendment doesn't pass.
Because if it DOES pass, then the HoC might reject it and send it back to the Senate which would be terrible for the delays...

Since they reached the agreement on time allocation, it's extremely likely that they agreed on which amendments are going to pass.

The nays had it, it's the speaker who didn't know how to proceed, the standing vote will likely cause the amendment to be rejected

They really need to abolish this "yay/nay" BS. How hard is it to do a standing vote on the spot, or use electronic ballot ffs

don't think it will pass ,otherwise like you said the Hoc will reject it , there is no doubt about it .
At the minute , an amendment is to modify a bill in its present , no government( whatever the party) will allow it . The revocation amendment was a add-on on bill c6 not a modification on c6 in its current form . The minister and the government never said anything about that . They were only open to an amendment that would deal with a fair process , nothing else , otherwise it leaves the door open to modify the bill and the opposing party might add its spices on it , which no government wants .

Cause 99% of the votes do not get any nays, it's designed to expedite votes. Standing votes are used to determine crucial votes
