Yes, BTW I'm supporting c 6 but not the amendments

Let's assume that someone decides in a few years that you mis-represented something on your application. Unlikely, yes, but possible. Let's assume it's based on a technicality - or a simple error.

CIC and the government have the power to send you a letter and deport you, without due process. That's the purpose of the amendment. To afford citizens the right of due process - which doesn't exist without the amendment. This amendment is important to all of us.

For people familiar with the parliamentary process, do you if there's a possibility for a bill to be delayed till a point where it dies?
I'm asking because the issue I have with the amendment is not its content or that it's causing a delay, but because I started fearing that this bill might keep dragging and end up never passing.
Any thoughts?

I doubt it. This being a campaign process and already at 3rd reading, liberals will push it through one way or another. But it might take a while if Conservatives keep trying to delay.

Once it reaches 3rd reading it's unseen of a Bill to die. If the Cons had majority it would have died way before, and even if the Senate rejects a Bill, I think that HoC can force its adoption

Hi All
I just attended a meeting with Minister Ahmed Hussen in Brampton 1 hour before. The press/media guys directly asked him about progress of bill c-6 and their promise of 2016 Christmas passing of this bill and implementation.
His plain answer: we are serious to get it and implement as soon as possible. He also mentioned that he replied to senate earlier.

The weird thing is that several senators who are known to be Conservatives like Meredith or Brazeau are voting against Cons adjournments and amendments
