Bill C-6 is reaching the last stages of becoming a law. However, there still a few more steps that need to be fulfilled before it reaches Royal Assent. Just to explain the Third Reading for those interested:
Third Reading is technically the Final approval of the bill. The three possibilities at this stage are:
1- Senators can propose amendments.
2- Senators vote on the bill and its amendments.
3- If it passes, it is sent to the HoC
If amendments are introduced and voted for, then HoC and Senate exchange messages until they agree on the final text of the bill.
Of course each step requires time, and each further delay attempt from Conservative Senators will slow the process. But the most crucial part is done.
