Oh I totally agree: Although in the short term, the 3/5 rule is relevant for me, the other changes that C-6 brings, including the planned amendment, are way more important. I'll be an "aspiring citizen" for the next one/two years. But I would be a second-class citizen for the rest of my life.

I'm in the same boat. Was the among last of the pre-EE PR recipients [PR Dec 2014]. Just wish we would have been grandfathered under the previous rules since we were already in the "queue". But, it is what it is and that's that.

Meeting tomorrow and March 2nd

about right for appeal.
The other guy spoke against many things that are essence of C-6 (language, physical presence and such)
Now questions are in progress

First we had a lawyer who asked for a right to appeal to a citizenship revocation and suggested an amendment.

Second we had a former citizenship judge who asked for stringent requirements to remain.

Basically he wants to amend C-6 so it would be just like C-24 ?...

Wow. This Minister is very vocal and clear that the central focus of C-6 was to remove the 'barriers' created by C-24 (longer residence time, etc) as well as to remove the two tiered citizenship that had created.
