Ah yes, get that dope legislation moving forward.......priorities. Whether C-6 ever passes or not it will NEVER be studied in future university courses as a model for passing legislation. Two years, friends. I am quickly moving into the "doesn't matter anymore" category for citizenship because of my dates. Thanks for nothing, Justin.
It seems that the liberals have be 'stoned' first before they take on C-6. LOL!!!

I moved to that category already, but due to my citizenship dates and after 2 years following and 2 weeks left for eligibility, I moved to a sub-category of "I wish the 3/5 change doesn't be in effect soon if the bill is to pass by Summer break".

This happened yesterday at :3:15 pm in the HOC:

Hon. Bardish Chagger (Leader of the Government in the House of Commons and Minister of Small Business and Tourism, Lib.):

Mr. Speaker, this afternoon, we will continue debate on the Conservative's opposition motion. This evening, we will proceed with Bill C-45, the cannabis act, at second reading.C-44, the budget. In the afternoon, we will return to Bill C-45.

Our hope for Monday and Tuesday is to send Bill C-45 to committee, and also to deal with report stage of Bill C-44. Other bills for next week include the Senate amendments to Bill C-6, the Citizenship Act; and Bill S-3, provided the bill is passed by the Senate.

Should time permit, we would also like some debate on Bill C-49, transportation modernization; and Bill C-24, to amend the Salaries Act.
We have had a conversation among House leaders. I look forward to continuing those conversations, and I will do my best to report to this House the information that I have, and we will do our best to work well together so that all members can do the good work that we are sent here to do.
Told y'all, they are rushing to get C-44, C-45 and C-46 to the Senate before the break. There is no reason for them to rush C-6 while C-7 and C-4 are still being discussed. It's a matter of using your time correctly. Also, she appears to think that Bill C-6 will not be debatted for a long time in HoC.

Yup indeed and this is also exactly what I was trying to explain with the screenshots from the legislative overview some days ago. Actually, If they time this right, the Senate basically will have nothing else left on its agenda when C-6 comes back to the Senate. There are currently only four government bills in total before the Senate. And they will at least finish up one or two of them before C-6 comes in. The Senate is getting to a point where they are basically forced to deal with all the government bills because there's not much they can skip.

Looking at calendars, they are off July Aug and half Sept. So, no chance of C-6 getting passed before Oct-Nov Time Frame. Implement 2018 sometime.

Original members of this tread will have seen 3yr wait to implementation. Most will qualify under C-24....wonderful job Liberals.

I was due to apply on June 25, 2015 but due to C24 introduction, I was pushed forward for 2 extra years. Now, I am due to apply on June 25, 2017, do I want C6 to pass before summer break..................hmmmmmmmmmmm...............emmmmmmmmmm. LOL.

Well, I hope it passes so that some people can have their peace of mind.

Guys. The bill will pass. But for me I do not give a sh@t. I only care about WHEN.
I am greedy and I only care about myself, I want this bill to be passed ASAP. I am not a terrorist and not planning to be so I do not care about other clauses in the Bill. I only care about 3/5.

Mine is the exact same story but August, 1 2017.

As it looks I am/will be affected twice:
1. by C-24 prolonged residence requirements
2. by C-6 induced flood of applications causing processing delays

Sadly, but few months from now, I would be looking forward that 3/5 clause come into force sometime in 2Q/2018.

Have a nice weekend.
