Manchester attack would make voting for C6 tough....Senators will rethink. Govt might scrw up if they send it back to Senate. They should approve all amendments in HoC

Jeeez guys, this attack will not influence C-6 at all. There unfortunately have been and will be many attacks all the time. This current attack will not change anyones mind about this bill.

Exactly. I'm not sure how some people draw these conclusions.

It has already passed the Senate thus whatever Senators think now, it's too late. Wondered if any of them now regret their votes. The HOC votes will be interesting to watch as their votes for C-6 basically means terrorists like 22 year old Abedi born in Manchester who wanted to kill as many innocent girls in the name of ISIS to Libyan refugee parents should get to keep their Canadian citizenship. What if we had a Canadian version of this incident? Is that what it would take to change their minds because it only happened to adults so far?

Obviously the terrorist is not Canadian, the terrorist is likely dual British but the point is what if we had a similar incident in Canada.

And how do you think C-24 is going to prevent it? The person could tick all the boxes with respect to C-24 and still commit such crimes against humanity. Are they going to strip the dead body of the bomber of citizenship?

I do not think even he is dual citizen because his father was against the former president of Libya, thus usually Libya stripped their citizenship. This happened to my friend from another country.

Only stupids who think terrorists care about citizenship whether they are dead or not.Only poor innocent people care about citizenship.

While we can't take away citizenship from dead bombers, we can take it away from accomplices. It's called aiding and abetting terrorism. Thus can be charged with treason.

Bad news for Aussies PR in Australia. Govt of Australia also revised their citizenship from 3 - 4 years technically (it went to 7 years wait)

Guys, just a quick question. Would c6 retroactively revoke the intent to reside clause signed on applications signed under current rules?
