I always try to gather intel before posting anything which will create waves of rumors or fake news... Rest assured this is whats being discussed but NOTHING IS STONE CARVED....!
it would mean nothing unless it is being discussed in the senate

I am curious as to how many of the 3/4 rule applicants who have flooded the CIC before 4/6 deadline have gotten citizenship and how long it took. We already heard stories of 4/6 rule applicants getting theirs as early as 6 months.

We yet arent sure if you legally spent 3 or 4 years in canada before applying for citizenship, we should revoke your citizenship and you will be deported to you home country, even your not allowed to argue etc..... :P

Well, we waited another couple weeks for another adjournment!

Did you expect them to pass it today?

The way the senate works, two/three senators speak, then they adjourn. They do not work on the bill for the entire time. They have many other bills to discuss.
Expect all of April, and some of May, for this to pass senate.

That didn't happen when CONs were ramming through their C-24 bill. Entire bill went through in 3 working days, including 3 readings and all....

Just a FYI...the way senate works.

Senate under Stephen Harper and Justin Trudeau are very different. Harper put all his Yes men and women on the senate and barely gave them any leeway. Trudeau's style is more fair in theory. He prefers spending time and money in research and debate before making any decision. This is true not just for C6 but for almost every bill they introduced. They are not a fan of pushing through legislation with votes.

I haven't had a chance to listen to today's live broadcast. What's the update on the progress?

Two senators spoke in support of amendment. Senator Jaffer and Senator Eggleton.
One senator spoke against. Senator Frum.
Senator Harder adjourned. He is the Government representative. He will open the debate tomorrow and hopefully we hear what the government thinks of this amendment which will be a good indication of whether this amendment will pass or not.

Drag n Drop..... ;D
