Thank you so much for this thread spyfy ! I had to google quite a bit before I started getting a grasp on the proposed changes to the current citizenship requirements.
This might sound silly, but is it possible that the bill can be set aside without any voting in the current session ? Or must it be voted one way or the other ? I just ask since in India, which has a very similar westminster parliamentary system, bills do get deferred often (especially when the govt thinks it can be defeated).
Of course, It would be awesome if it does indeed go through! I would be eligible mid next year instead of in 2020!
