Best way to represents ITA documents | PDF

I am preparing documents for my ITA application and have below queries. Kindly help.

Question 1: Please confirm, do we have to submit all ITA documents (except digital photo) color scanned and in the PDF format? I mean the Passport/Travel document scans, PoF, PoE, PCC and MCC - all these documents have to be in the PDF format?

Question 2: Is it okay to have some sort of "Index" to give some brief information about the various document listed in the PDF?
Since PoF and PoE comprises of several documents. The "Index" might help the visa officer in understanding the document.
Or is it okay to have some sort of "Heading" on every page of the PDF describing the document listed and then its scan underneath?
Which of the above 2 options (if any) if the best while creating the PDF document?

Question 3: Please confirm - We need to submit ONLY ONE LoE for our application detailing every document listed?
Also how many pages are allowed for the LoE. I am hoping to keep the details as to the point as possible but still feel that LoE might reach 2 page content. Is it Okay?

Question 4: Please confirm - What is best way to get PoF gift from my father? Direct deposit or Cheque deposit?
Also IMO, I need to just provide a "Gift Deed" document, signed by my father and notarized on the Govt. Stamp paper while showing the PoF.
Do I also need to get "Affidavit" created for this fund transfer as well?


Looking for guidance from seniors as always.

Hi!
I don't recommend index and header for docs, since any alterations on the original documents are not allowed. Don't risk it. Officers are aware file may contain several docs, like original diploma, translation, its evaluation. All docs must be in pdf, except photo. File size limit 4mb. You can have as much LoE as you need. And LoE, in my opinion, is the only one where index might help. We had several things to explain, and made index for LoE. Don't worry about pages, just don't exceed 4mb limit.

I am also making the index as per point 2 for every document being uploaded. I think it is good to list down all the documents which are included - there are many documents in POF and work history - so at least it will help me track whether everything is included irrespective of whether it helps the VO or not. Might be an overkill but I am going with it anyways.

All documents except PCC can be scanned in black and white. If you have less documents for a certain section and are within the 4MB limit, then color is also ok. What's more important is the scan resolution

Regarding LOE, I have one LOE for Work experience section, 1 main LOE where I needed to explain past visa refusal and 1 LOE for POF since my bank is not giving the letters as per CIC format. There is no set way of doing it - if the explanation is long then you can summarize it in the main LOE and put a reference to the LOE in the relevant document placeholder.

For gift deed, either cheque or transfer is fine - just highlight that transaction on your bank statement. The gift deed document in my opinion should alone be sufficient. Hope this helps.
