Best pathway for Canadian citizen and UK partner living abroad

Hi all,
I'm back with another question.

On forms IMM0008 and IMM5406, 2 fields need to be signed.
Consent to share information on 0008, and Section D Certification on 5406.

The PDF's do not allow these fields to be signed. There is no guidance available and I am not finding any help or mention online. I am assuming these forms were just ported over for online-only use and this was an oversight. What should I do here?

I am not fully up to date with which files and forms have proper electronic signing (because online only is new). Since IRCC cannot seem to give clear instructions on this, I think the only way is to print the signature page, sign, scan and include in your package (somehow).

We're almost there but are finding the 'Intent to move to Canada' question fairly ambiguous. We've provided letters of intent and expressing support from family members, lots of photos including our annual trips to Canada, we plan to move to my hometown where I was born. Basically, I've tried to show that we have strong connections there, make regular trips, and I want to go home to raise my family. It's bothering me a bit how the application is leaving a lot up to discretion, but googling this it seems some applicants really go overboard in terms of additional information.

How else can I prove intent to move?

My dad has provided a letter confirming we'll have a place to stay. With processing times being so long, it's unrealistic for them to expect a signed lease, hypothetical job offer, etc, is it not?

Your evidence on returning to Canada is a bit thin. IRCC generally wants to see a bit more more.

- Do you still maintain any bank accounts or savings in Canada which you can show?
- Are there any employers you've been in touch with in your field in Canada?

The letter from your father confirming you can live with them is good.

Yes, these things all help and you should provide them since they demonstrate ties.

If there is anything else you can think of along these lines, include it.

You can then submit with what you have. If IRCC feels it's insufficient, they will contact you at some point in the process to request more.

Agree with others, show the things you can as connections even if they seem weak to you. Don't try to justify why there's low activity, having the accounts will help.

Job: do you mean you will keep your current job when you move to Canada (i.e. work remote or something)? If so, explain that.

Final comment: keep updating while your file in process in case of any updates, i.e. getting quotes from movers, any arrangements you or your spouse make for when you arrive, job searches, joining a boy scout troop, vists to make arrangements, buying food, pet vaccinations, whatever. It will help you show you've continued to prepare despite long lead time.

We are both remote workers for fully remote companies and will be keeping our jobs (our employers have agreed verbally but since the move itself is so far off, it's not practical for us to have this on paper yet). I've written letters outlining our remote work situation, and will provide bank statements and payslips for 6 months in case that is helpful. We are also going to provide our current work contracts and hopefully they count for something.

IMO the payslips and current work contracts aren't that helpful without an actual letter from the employers that confirms they are aware you have plans to relocate back to Canada and will allow you to work remotely from Canada post-move.

What I'm finding strange is I'm under the impression they allow jobseekers all the time and for an outland application it doesnt indicate anywhere that one must be employed. The UK's way of having a stated salary requirement, while horrible, is at least black and white. Fingers crossed I guess.

This has nothing to do with any financial requirement. It's to provide additional evidence of your intent to return to Canada once the PR visa is approved.

The issue has been that many have not actually returned to Canada. They have landed and left. IRCC is now trying to have concrete proof that people will actually be moving to try to avoid this scenario.
