Best ECA Body?

Hi guys,

Does anyone know what body / organisation, if any that assesses apprenticeships obtained overseas?

Hi again....I'm very curious if you have any news about this ,like i said, few months ago i call all this 3 organization which are accredited by CIC and they said they can not do it...they only assessed high school diploma and university diploma...so my husband has an certificate of qualification as a mechanic from oversees and he has same certificate here in Canada ...his certificate from oversees it was evaluated by Apprenticeship and Occupational Certification and has been approved.After that he took his Read Seal exam here in Canada...if you have a Read Seal that means you must have this approval letter ,did you send this approval letter when you apply for PR?

No I didn't include the letter in my application and I am unsure as to open a CSI on the case or not, but a poster here on this forum says that there is no point, as an apprenticeship from overseas is not gainful education for the purpose of gaining more points with express entry.
But I am looking into it, I haven't closed all doors on the matter yet.

there's no approved body to assess apprenticeships at the minute. There are groups lobbying to get this changed but so far, nothing.
Best course at the minute is the points for high school and 50 points for a red seal. it really sucks for tradespeople right now.

as stated already no body does apprenticeship. my mates from ireland tryed to get there fas certs done and no joy.. as was said they are trying to lobby to make express entry more trade friendly as at the moment us tradies only option is an lmia.. good luck.

So they don't recognize a foreign trade cert...

Do you know if points are awarded for foreign work experience in the trade?

i don't know buddy did you not fill out an ita already and get points for it i taught you already had an invite??? so did you not get points for it??

Yes the system awarded me points for it but my profile was cancelled for not having an ECA.

I only ask because I am creating a new profile and just want to be sure prior to submission, to prevent my application being cancelled again.

Maybe seek a lawyer buddy.. I had an lmia for sparking so I don't know..all I counted was my Canada experience the rest went into my personal history .. So I did not get points for them
