Not to be negative but wherever you live, it depends on how you make of it. If you always end up working at a low end job in Canada, life may not be as good as it would have been say in the US.
Even though Canada ranks higher than US, US is higher on quality of life than Canada.
Remember there is not much difference in closely ranked countries.
Also if we use immigration as an indicator, more Canadians are trying to go to US than Americans to Canada and that is despite America's much higher population.
