They didn't change the GcKeys yet ..but thats normal they not updated everyday..some ppl.get updates on the Gckeys before they receive an email about passport request..some ppl get the passport request email from the visa office weeks before they change the GCkeys updates.

Nope ecas didn't change either..i think ecas and gckeys are updated together...but i read before about other applicants , who got their visa and landed in Canada and the ecas and gckeys were still saying in progress..so always check both email and gckeys and ecas..u never never know where u hear the news from first.

Same here. I submit my application march 2015 and they JUST started background check November 2016 . So it has been 6 months since background started and God knows how much longer it will go on.
Where are you sponsoring from?

Security can take up to one year it's ok our day is coming soon Inchalla .. congrats for u all pls give us a notice when u get your visas

Hey all I just want to update you on my husband. So he recieved PPR on April 20th sent his passport and requested documents to the visa application centre in Beirut on APR 24 and he recieved a call on APR 28 that that his passport is ready and alhamdulillah he got the Visa ! Finally! This was a very long, hectic, process for both my husband and I. It took us 2 years. 4 months and 18 days from the first day the application package was sent. I just want to say to you all that are still waiting, dont lose hope. you will all make it, its just a matter of time and patience is key. This experience was definetly a challenge for us, it tested our patience and our relationship in so many ways and alhamdulillah it all paid off. For those stuck in security, trust me that part is the worst because its all unclear and they never provide you any information it is like all ambiguous, I know the feeling and its VERY irritating, but please be patient it'll come, my husband was stuck in security for almost 14 months. Please stay positive and I wish you all the best, we are all fighters and Inshallah you will hear only good news come all your ways soon. xoxo

Thanks sweetstrawberry! This gives me a little bit of hope. My husband and I have been waiting for 2 years and 2 months and security has been processing for 6 months. I cant imagine security taking another year
