HeyGuys, this thread and others on this forum have really helped me. So I just want to let you know that it does take a lot of patience and strength but in the end it will be over.
I wont go into specifics but from the start My wife and I knew our case would takea long time and would be hard because of special circumstances.
here is what I can share. After the long wait for an interview things move quite fast, they will then do a security check, so if your Police certificates have expired (more than 1 year) they will ask you to renew them, Security check should take 1 to 2 month.
After that they will ask for your medicals again if expired (usually they will extend your medicals to two years).
After your medicals have been checked again, expect the PPR.
Now this is important, they will ask to drop your passport off at VFS at the Concorde building, its the same building as the TSC supermarket in Concorde square(next to Zara) on the 7th floor.
Dont worry there isnt a big wait , make sure you are careful with the new measurements for the pictures (5x7) also must be STAMPED with the Date and name of studio, address and phone number on the back, then you will have to write your name and file number below them.
Now VFS will charge you around 38 dollars to send your passport to the embassy, they also have an extra service for 8.50 where they will mail you the passport by libanpost once they get your passport back, USE THIS SERVICE!!!! because as soon as they get your passport they will mail it to you, if you want to pick it up they text you and email you
BUT!, and this happened to me their system sometimes get stuck and you wont get the email or text right away. My Visa was done 20 days before I got the text, and the emails (6 of them) arrived in one day.
So in total you will need around 45 to 48 dollars, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE CHANGE IN U.S. dollars because they will not have any.
Hope this Helps you guys.
If anyone has questions Im willing to answer but please dont ask any specifics of my case since it really is not a good comparison.
