BEIRUT Family Class Applications sent to Mississauga then BEIRUT 2012

Hey guys,
Can someone please help me with this?
A family book is required for my spouse.
Should I provide them with the older one (the one where her name appears with her father, mother, brother...) or with the new one (Her name appears with mine) or both?

I sent both family books with our application.
First one showing her name barred from her parents family book and the second one with me and her.

I have a question for those that have contacted their MP for help... did you just email them or do you actually need to set up an appointment to meet with them in person? and how long does it usually take for them to get back to you?

I am worried about delays and the strike that is going on

I got decision made on my spouse sponsorship application March 2013. The permanent Resident application is still showing as "Application Received". 2 months ago I got a new line "Medical Results have been received". I know there is some strike action going on all over the world. Do you know how is the situation in Beirut regarding processing spouse applications? I check my ecase every week and sometimes every day hoping to see a new line eventhough the processing times for Beirut is 19 months for 80% of the applications. I know no one knows but I thought someone else here would have a similar timeline to mine that can comment and that will help with the wait! Anyone has a similar timeline. What is the next step? When would the status of application change to in process? Please comment

Stop worrying, it'll only make things worse.

I got stage 1 (sponsorship) approval on Feb 7 and my ecas has been showing "Application Received" ever since.
I suggest you use the e-cas tracker (https://ecas.carroll.org.uk/) which will check your ecas once a day and email you when something changes.

Was your file transferred to Beirut or Ottawa?

Thanks for your answer in the letter it says it is been transferred for the visa office abroad for further processing and the visa office that I submit papers questions etc is CPP Ottawa

It is so confusing but I guess that's how it works.

It is so confusing but I guess that's how it works.

That's good.
CPP-O is helping reducing the backlog in some visa offices. It is apparently much faster than Beirut. CanadaLeb got his PR in 6 month or so.

you cant. Ottawa is currently assisting Beirut with many cases. If your case goes to Ottawa its becuase your case was a stright forward case with no complications. Just keep your fingers crossed.

I just wanted to show you exactly what I got in the letter- it did say what highlighted below which doesnt make sense- if the application of PR was transferred abroad so how is CPP Ottawa my visa office. Who does the processing of PR?

I have the same status as you, my wife has received the same letter before 8 months ago and they mentioned that my application was sent to Ottawa, on first of March 2013 they start processing my application.

So since the application is getting processed in cpp ottawa so it won't take 19 months like it says according to Beirut VO. What is the processing time for cpp ottawa? This strike action seems to be non ending.

The processing time for CPP-O is around 12 month.
However, if you check the Ottawa thread and spreadsheet (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AieZfLOxQt2FdDgzNTFmc2E2bjJjVUhGVlhPMEcwbWc#gid=0) you will see that it is moving a bit faster than that (6-8 month).
