I have couple of questions for you if you don't mind:

Red123, did you get the email to provide: RQ, Schedule 1, new police certificate, updated passport request on Oct 15, 2012?
and which Province are you from?

FarahCF, you said they started processing your application on Nov 15, 2011, do you mean the application was transferred to the Embassy on that date?

Hi, yes everything was requested at the same time but we have not received a medical renewal request as of yet (hopefully we don't). I'm in Alberta.
Do you think that I should consider this a true PPR?

I meant to ask you if the date was Oct 15, 2012, and I'm from Alberta too.
But I didn't get your question; "if you should consider this as a true PPR"??

I think it was October 12th. My question is, they asked for his passport, is this good news? Is this to give him his visa? I've read that they usually ask for photos (passport sized photos to attach to the visa?) and they did not request this in the email, so I'm not sure. I just don't wanna get my hopes up especially if this can potentially drag on for another year.

RED, it is indeed a very good sign, yes they ask for his passport in order to stamp for him the visa. They never require any photos to attach to the visa.

i was reviewing you chart its been 2 months after you applied you documents, look do what i did yesterday , i send them an emaill asking them is my file is waiting security/backgroud check result? and thats it. we have to be sure that is not is delaying our processing.
by the way did u send them and email asked bout ur medical resutls.

No its the day they started processing the first step in Canada, and its also the same day that they sent us the acceptation for sponsorship
