Let me tell you a story about me that the embassy already knows, just to show you again and again that those people do not give a damn about us.

My wife re-sponsored me in Januaru 2010, and since the date she sponsored me until now we only see each other 2 months in Summer when she comes to see me and our children.
The kids are with me because she can not take care alone of 2 kids ,and since their grandma and grandpa and my sisters and aunts are here,it is more convenient to keep them in Lebanon.
Lots and lots of time my wife cries when we are on skype because this can never last for long, mother without her family, and my kids without their mother and me without my wife.
Do you think they care? where is this law that the family should be re united?
Beleive me, sometimes when i am talking to my wife, i tell her that this is enough, many times and the last time was today i think of going to this so-called Canadian embassy and throw all the papers in their face and send my case to some Canadian court just to accuse them of all responsibilty about damaging my family and my relation with my wife.

man god be with you and your family,,,,and since your wife here in canada tell her to call and e-mail the minister of immigration every freaking day till they answer her,,,,,or let her go to the media here the CTV or Radio Canada me personally i'm trying to contact the media but one of the guy's told me no kids that mean nobody will ask about you because me married but no kids yet. you mabe your wife had chance.we need to start being loud so loud because as you said no body care.

As Joe said, need to start being so loud since they don't care about us. I was wondering what would the immigration minister do if he had to get married overseas and had to wait all this time to bring his wife home. Maybe we should go for a demonstration in front of CIC offices or the immigration minister's office.

I don't even know how to respond to this! I'm sick and tired of being treated as 2nd grade citizens just because we hold the Lebanese passport! What wrong have we done?! There is no way to communicate with them, no way to know what is happening, and we are supposed to be patient... Ok, I have been asked for documents but that means nothing, we don't even have a timeframe to work against. We don't know how long it would take, we keep repeating that it is a matter of luck, but should it really be so??? Why would someone get their visa in under a year while others have been waiting for 16+ months???? Why should we be treated as if we bought a lottery ticket when we never thought that we did. Our lives are on hold, what can anyone say to make Elie feel better, or his children understand their situation, why would a mother be deprived of her children???!!! How about lele and hab??? Are these people criminals????? And the rest of us???? I'm beyond anger and frustration. Yes, we should be hopeful and positive while believing in God's will; but there are many questions that need answers.
I'm not only thinking of myself, maybe my story in comparison is a walk in the park; we have to do something, anything to end this.
... What can be done though????? I wish I knew... I'm just really really sorry for us as we are not only 2nd grade citizens but most likely 1st grade victims.

Hello,

I got an email from the embassy on Friday asking for some documents but they did not ask for the Residency questionnaire !!!

They said to write the file number and contact info on the documents. but this will be writing on official papers. Did any one of you write this info on police certificate...?

I wrote the info on each top corner of the translated documents. Good luck!

hi everyone I was told they are doing the security checks for my husband. they said the checks are through CSIS. does anyone know how long this takes they said they started the checks in june 2012 but they r still on the first one till now.

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what the average time it takes to process an application once it arrives in Beirut?
Second, is their any way to speak to someone over the phone? It seems the only way to communicate to the visa section is via email.

Like I told marwah, the main problem that we are facing is that there is no clear waiting time, some people have gotten their visas in under a year, while others have been waiting for more than 16 months. There is no way to communicate with them, even with emails as they hardly respond to them.

Today i was talking to a person who has some connections and informations in the Canadian embassy in Beirut. I wish i never asked him, i told him that after waiting 2 and a half years the embassy finally asked me about the criminal record and later told me to do my medical exams, he was very happy and told me that i am on my final stages and "THAT I SHOULD HEAR SOME GOOD NEWS IN ABOUT 8 MONTHS FROM NOW", can you beleive that?

8 months more? he said that before when it was treated in Damascus it usually took 3 months, but now from Lebanon they are obliged to send it to the "FEDERAL" to re-check again.

Is there anyway to tell the officials in Canada or their ministers that they are the criminals?
Is there a way to tell them that they are responsible of broken marriages?
Is there a way to tell them that they are racist?
Is there a way to tell them that they should stick their heads in the dirt everytime tehy think about they are doing to us?

Mr. Minister if you don't know what the hell is hapenning to us it means that you should go home, and if you know it means that i should take you to court and accuse you of racism and neglection.

If you think you are responsible,then you should look at all the sufferings that your embassy in Beirut are causing to all the applicants, stick to your office Mr. Minister and hold responsibility of what your are obliged to do because like this you remind me of lots of ministers who rule this country"lebanon", if you want we can help you find a job among our ministers here.

The file number is different than before. Did they change the file numbers?
I noticed also that it is a reminder email it was sent to someone called zouheir albazzal on july 17 and they resent it to my wife today.
They are asking for updated police certificate for wife and spouse, to fill two documents IMM0008 and travel history document and also passport (X4)

I really dont know if I should provide them those things or it is was sent by mistake to us? because last time on the phone they said every thing is ok also I dont know why myself should send them a police certificate and passport as I am already PR.

I think you should email them, leave the subject field as they wrote it but add to it in the beginning "Urgent"; explain the wrong immigration file number and name, and wait for their instructions. Good Luck!!!

They said his papers are almost done and that soon they will be calling him to bring in his passport, my husband asked when (ehehhe is sooo cute!) and they said they could not say, but they said tell your wife that this is the response to her email!! Lol! So I guess thats moving forward!! Good luck to everyone! Lets keep the positivity alive!!! (I'm at 16 months BTW -and our file reached Lebanon from Damascus June 7 )

Thanks still waiting I really hope this is good news and soon he will be here!! I was so depressed last week, my mom got a ticket to go to lebanon for two months in september (the week of my bday) so I was pretty sad and sick all of last week!! I hope he comes soon, and I hope you are all reunited with your loved ones soon!!

And in my email I just told them that I had gone to Lebanon in June and went to the embassy and got no answers to my questions and that on our ecase its noted medicals received and that our papers were received from Damascus June 7th..and thats about it I said any information they can give us would be apprechiated.
