I also applied for one back in April 2012 and got it. I went and visited my husband on and off in the past year; now I came back permanently because my visa expired during April. Maybe it depends on when you apply?!

S far you and I are in for visiting the embassy, I invite everyone who has been waiting for a word from the embassy and they have been waiting for 9+ months without any news, even if you are a silent reader, please join in so we could go all together.

Well I applied after waiting more than 9 months and because my husband can't come every often to Lebanon + it's our 1st wedding anniversary today and we are celebrating each one in a different country, I have been crying the whole day because I believe it's from the most important occasions that couples celebrate it together ...
How come they gave everybody the temporary visa and they didn't give me, maybe because they will issue the permanent visa soon ??!!!

Yes absolutely, because you have applied so close to the decision stage. Don't be sad, I know that anything anyone says would sound like blablabla now but believe me everything happens for a reason; so hopefully that reason gets revealed to you asap. So far we're 3 people. Any others???? and ladies when do you think we should go?

Lello, are you in Lebanon? And, if so would you like to come since if you are a Canadian citizen it'll be easier for you to enter the embassy. Please let us know.

I don't want to upset you; however, when I ordered by CAIPS it showed that my file was received in Beirut in mid March! i don't know if yours was received earlier or later but in any case EVERYONE, how about next week to go to the embassy??

hope you`re doing well even though we are still in the waiting stage .. but were MAY tomorow so hope we will all get good news in MAY
does anyone know what it means if we get our file number that starts with the letter B ? i talked to the immigration of canada and they told me that in the system i have a file number with B......
but they did not send me an email from damscus or beirut but is it because they opened our file and gave us a file number from there ... im just curious to know what does that mean if anyone could help me i would really appreciate it thanks and good week for all of you

The b number is just the immigration file number, if you haven't received it from Damascus yet, don't worry about it much because you could use your client id number which is the number you have on your PR card to access the same information that you would with the b number on ecas. If you still want to know it anyway, send a note to your MP and they will tell you your b and f numbers. Good Luck
