Inshallah ya rab Allah yifrija 3al jamee3.

I wonder if TSI got his letter to go for interview yet.

I hope we get it before May. We're leaving for Canada then, and it would be pain to have to courrier my passport back and forth to Lebanon.

Though at this point, it's starting to sound like wishful thinking.

Good luck to us all.

Hi,

I'm the principal applicant; my husband is Canadian. We spend the summers in Canada and the school year in lebanon. Three years ago (before I applied for permanent residency) I applied for a multiple-entry visa to Canada and got it. That's what I've been using. I think it expires after this summer, but hopefully I'll have gotten the permanent residency by then.

I hope this helps.

I have been to Canada twice to visit my husband but always applied for single entry because i thought it is too much to ask for multiple. so just wanted them to give me the single one. this time i applied for the multiple entry visa and still waiting for their answer. i applied 12 working days ago..

The first two times I went to Canada I was on single entry. Then I thought it's a waste of time to apply for a visa every year, so I got the multiple entry. I don't know what they'll think of it now that you've also applied for permanent residency. I hope you get it (or the permanent residency first).

Hi all,

So lebcan and wilderness you applied for visitor visa before, for the reason to visit your spouse? They didn't ask you howcome your spouse never filed to sponsor you?

My husband and I both live and work in Lebanon (we teach) and we spend the summers in Canada. So the visa was not strictly to "visit the spouse". I've never had an interview, so they never asked me why I didn't apply for permanent residence. However, in the application letter, I always explained our living situation and that we planned on applying for permanent residency in the future.

hi
The first time I applied we were not married. We got married in Canada.
The second time, they asked for proof of sponsorship as an additional paper, so i took the approval and receipt that we paid for sponsorship, had an interview where she asked me about coming back etc but i was honest that i still have my work and my masters and we applied for residency, it is just a visit so she gave it to me no problem.
This is my third time, logically, nothing changed so i should get it...but we never know with the Canadian officers what can come up lol :)

Guys
for those of u who filed their taxes as married which is obviously the correct way since it says on the CRA website to notify them as soon as possible.
anws...did u have to get ur wives' income or paper that states her yearly income? Dunno if we have such thing in Lebanon and what does the accountant need it for?

My husband files as married. However, since I'm not Canadian or a PR, he does not declare my income. At least, the accountant hasn't asked for it.
