No matter where you are coming from, anyone with Canadian experience has a better chance at a job than you. Your goal when you arrive is to figure out what makes you stand out. Do you speak English/French or a 2nd language If no, are you taking language classes? Do you have transferrable skills? Do you network? Have you upgraded your training? Do you volunteer? etc You may not get your dream job at first, but you have to start somewhere. By networking or volunteering, you have an opportunity to gain work experience, have references and get word out that you are job hunting. It is not easy, but if you don't try or if you give up, you can't expect different results.
Many of us come from cultures where it is expected that those abroad have to send money home. While this is a noble thing to do, if your own house is not in order, then you can not afford to send money to others.

We make our own choice and we do not tolerate people who do not agree with our opinion.
We also dislike people who do not share our own feelings.
We all have faith in our own intelligence.
We often fail to find reasoning in people who contradict our own opinion.

But the disparity has grown steadily and now the average immigrant doesn't have much hope of seeing the gap close until the second generation.”
"The simple, but sad, truth is that many new immigrants cannot hope to close the earnings gap in their lifetime," according to the TD paper.
The paper also commented: “Closing that gap is crucial as Canada faces the mass retirement of the baby-boom generation”.
“If immigrants were employed at the same level as established Canadians, there would be about 370,000 extra people at work” According to the estimate made by the TD economist.
"Canada admits hundreds of thousands of highly educated, highly skilled immigrants each year to meet labour demand or to fill skills gaps”.
"And yet, any reason for participating in skilled immigration is rendered null and void if those immigrants ultimately take lower-paying jobs unrelated to their training because of the labour market barriers that they face."-observation by the TD paper.

We know very well that most of the survival jobs the new immigrants do and also the businesses run by the newcomers are dependent on new immigrants.
You will find a lot of immigrants are working as sales persons of BELL, ROGERS, and other companies and banks.
Their target populations are new immigrants to Canada.
So, they are dependent on Immigrants.
We know how eager you are to bring new immigrants to Canada.
But also please try to think about the people who are skilled immigrant in real sense and who also can not find a work as a sales person or who do not have the skills or mentality to be a slales person may not find Canada as interesting as you may find.

Many people have indicated that they are prepared to take survival jobs in order to succeed here. Now, don't get me wrong, but it has been my personal experience that this can be a career killer.
It's one thing to be take a job which might be a level or so below your qualifications, but in many cases people have had to work in completely different fields or take jobs so far below their skill level just to make ends meet, that they can never recover.
In my case, I have 20+ years in senior roles in hospitality, but the only job offer ever given to me would have taken me backwards by 10 years. Imagine now trying to get out of that career killing situation! Nobody will take you seriously if you have to go back that far.
Not only that, but when I saw the job re-advertised last week, they had dropped the annual salary by almost $20,000!!!! It seems to be a race to the bottom in terms of money. It's ridiculous.
Who the heck wants to come here and take a survival job for minimum wage? Sorry but I don't, and it was never my intention to throw away 22 years of a hard earned career just for the "sake of being in Canada".
As mentioned before, I've lived in a number of countries and have never, EVER been in a situation where I felt that there was no light at the end of the tunnel.

When my brother moved back to Canada he took a bar job to support himself, despite his qualifications & experience. He met regular customers and got contacts through them and now owns 2 businesses because of the people he met and the opportunities he was given through them.
It is probably not ideal for everyone of course, but sometimes it can work out very well too

Foreign trained immigrant doctors are not being allowed to practice after qalifying in all the Canadian examinations and as a result there is a big wait time everywhere including the emergencies.
Local doctors, who are paid by the government, are taking the advantage of the doctor shortage and earning money.

Why is it that 2 million Quebecers lack access to a family doctor when there are hundreds of qualified foreign trained doctors in Quebec who are unable to practice? The Quebec Human Rights Commission just completed a three-year investigation of this apparent mismatch and recently made its findings known.
According to the report, the culprits for this sad state of affairs are the four professional faculties of medicine, which are responsible for handing out residency positions… the final step in becoming licensed to practice. They have systematically refused to allocate vacant residency positions to foreign-trained doctors even after these doctors had passed an equivalency exam given by the Quebec College of Physicians. In 2007, the year the Commission examined, every single graduate from Quebec’s medical schools was offered a residency. However, only one third of foreign-trained certified doctors were accepted. This means 85 residency positions went vacant while 174 foreign-trained Quebec-certified doctors were left to wonder why they had bothered to immigrate.
The Commission found that prejudice and subjectivity played a part in the decision of the medical faculties and has ordered the Quebec Health Department to ensure that medical faculties fill residency positions with foreign-trained doctors, whose qualifications have been approved by the Quebec College of Physicians.
For the good of all Quebecers, it’s about time.
