Ouestion Mr. hmisabpk:
1. May I ask if what possible job could end me up in Ontario while I'm still processing my illegibility to become a nurse?
2. Is there a good job waiting for me in Ontario even their is a strong competition in labour market?
3. Is my trainings and seminars here in the Philippines gives me a good credit and advantage in finding a job?
4. Is it right if I'm going to take the IELTS here in the Philippines?
5. My PRC and Driver's License are expiring next June of 2012. Is it still okay? Or should I wait until the renewal?

Thank you so much.

wow! thanks much another list of questions:

1. It's going to be winter soon when I arrive in Ontario. Is it a problem to be with snow while finding a job? And is there a job waiting in winters time?
2. Will the employers going to call or have a referral letter from my previous employer here in the Philippines? In my case I resigned way back 2010 and I have been self employed since then.
3. I have heard that if you have been unemployed in Canada, the government provides you a financial support while looking for a new job? Is it true? and is it applicable for a newcomers like me?
4. May I ask what is the average wage of a Health Care Assistant or a Nursing Aide in Ontario? And what minimum wage of other skilled jobs that could be suitable for me?
5. How many hours per week normally people work in Canada? Can we have an overtime?
6. Lastly, if I am hired as a Health Care Assistant or a Nurse soon. What are their required uniform? Do we have the same duty uniforms here in the Philippines? Will I going to bring these? :D

Thank you so much Mr. Hmisabpk

Hi, charkei,
1.Little bit, no job waiting
2.Canadian employer “preferred” to call the given references
3.No – It is not true and not applicable for FSW, as skilled worker you have shown Prof of fund and you have to bring the POF for your family at least 6 month expenses. Government’s financial support / E.I are not for FSW or new immigrants.
4.Minimum wage in Ontario is $10.75 per hour, Health Care Assistant, salary range in Toronto Per hour is $ 12.15 - $ 16.61, For RPN is $21.21 – $25.28, for RN is $22.51 – $34.75
5.40 hours per week, yes depend on your employer
6.Your employer will provide you the uniform, health & safety, hazards management and all other required paid training on site (by law), you don’t need to bring fromPhilippines

Hope it helps,

hmisabpk

Wow! Another set of Question.

1. Is there a review center for nurses before taking the CRNE? If there is. Is it free?
2. Do the employers in Canada give bonuses and 13th month pay to their employee?
3. If I have employed in one of Health Facilities in Canada, will I have the privilege to choose my schedules?
4. What are the limitation of HCA or RPN other than an R.N can do in Canada?
5. How long does review of illegibility can take? Is it a wise decision to start applying while still here in the Philippines.
6. Can I postpone or have the time and decision to take if I'd be illegible to take the exam?
Thank you so much Mr. Hmisabpk

3.Why not?
4.Read the job description / job responsibilities for both RPN & RN on this link http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/noc/english/noc/2006/quicksearch.aspx?val65=3152
5. About 6 month to 18 month, yes you can start applying
6. Yes you can, read the terms/conditions and instruction on CNO website

Another set of questions Mr. Hmisabpk

1. How much is the tax of Ontario as of today? Will they automatically deduct it to your salary?
2. Regarding IELTS, how much band score Ontario requires us to have?
3. Is there any free review for IELTS? And any idea how much does it cost?
4. Any idea why nurses are limited to take the exam for 3 times?
5. Any suggested review materials for CRNE?

Thank you so much Mr. Hmisabpk

Hi, Charkei,

Here are the answers /replies to your questions / queries

1.See the ink for tax information, yes they deduct from pay directly : http://www.cra-arc.gc.ca/tx/ndvdls/fq/txrts-eng.html
2.Ontario don't require any band for IELTS, if you mean CNO it is 7 band or Canadian Language bench mark level 9 is acceptable .
3.IELTS test fee is $ 285.00, free review, material and practice available website, for nurses CELBAN link : http://www.celban.org/celban/display_page.asp?page_id=1
4.That CNO / CRNE examination board can answer ( I think due to shortage of exam center & staff)
5.Buy the books "The Canadian RN Exam Prep Guide" or " Canadian RN Exam Prep Guide" or "Mosby's Canadian Comprehensive Review " , " Canadian Registered Nurse Exam Prep Guide" or "Lippincott's CRNE Prep Guide" or/and visit this link http://www.cna-nurses.ca/cna/nursing/rnexam/default_e.aspx

Haha! You got me Mr. Hmisabpk. Ok then, here's my new set of questions.

1. Is it true that most Health Care facilities employers in Canada preferably hired males than females? They've said that men are more useful in lifting patients and more stronger than women. Much higher salary and much appreciated by many.
2. If ever I've been hired as HCA. Will I be able to have loans? For me to buy car. hehe. How much does it cost?
3. Is there community serving groups in Ontario that could help us up in everything in Canada and offers us free services.
4. When can I petition my parents to come with us Canada? And how much does it cost?
5. If ever I wanted to go to US to visit some of my relatives, what will I do?
