Hi,

They can visit, but this depends on your locality, I mean to say If u talk in context of High Risk country like Pakistan, thaey rarely go beyond the Islamabad, the capital teritory because of Security risk, also it is easily accessable, while they do Telephonic verification at maximum if you are 1500 km away from capital ;D

Dont be panic, but its considered to be very unethical and unprofessional to visit the Boss without prior notice, worse if u didn't inform your boss about your future intentions, ones job might be on stack after this!
