This I believe applies for most of the stream other than 2 streams indicated below.

BC PNP allocation reduced for 2025
The federal government has confirmed B.C.’s allocation of provincial nominees for 2025 is 4,000. This is a 50% reduction from 2024.
The BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) is planning how to use the program in 2025 due to the reduced allocation. This will determine operational matters such as invitations to apply (ITAs) and the opening of the student streams.
The Health Authority and Entrepreneur streams will remain open.
BC PNP processing times are expected to increase for the rest of the year due to significantly reduced nominations allotted to B.C. by the federal government.

HI All, One Question- appreciate your help in advance.
I received the BCPNP invitation to apply. while filling the application it ask about my dependent child information.
Background:- I am not in touch with my wife since last 7 years and don't know her whereabout. I filed for divorce in 2024 ( still in process- other party status unknown).
Question:- 1. should i still declare about my child given i have no ideas where my child is.
2. If yes, then what should i fill in "Address section" of dependent child information.

On May 8, 2025, the BC PNP issued invitations to apply to 94 candidates who will create high economic impact in BC. Invitations were issued based on:- Minimum wage of $105/hr, currently working full-time in BC for the supporting employer, and the job offer is NOC TEER 0 or 1 (47 candidates), or
- A minimum score of 150 points (47 candidates)
Future high economic impact invitations to apply may be based on different factors. Please refer to section 7.3(a) of the Skills Immigration Program Guide.

British Columbia really needs to invite at least 12,000 people in 2025. Mark Carney and his government must take action on this. The same applies to Ontario and other provinces. Why are they issuing 4,000 to 7,000 invitations per draw mainly for French-speaking applicants, but only 4,000 invitations for the entire year of 2025 in British Columbia, same condition to Ontario and other provinces ? Who made this unfair decision that restricts the provinces? It's disappointing to see political decisions being made disaster impact of people's lives and futures.
