BC PNP March 2015

Yeah I saw that post, but thing are now different since they are closed, not accepting new applications, moved to new bigger location and hired a bunch of new people.
I know that they have huge backlog but my opinion is that they'll do it a lil bit faster since they are not busy with new applications.
What I heard they are now aprox on December, and my personal opinion is that they want to finish it all asap because starting with new year probably they have new or similar online pnp system and dont think they want to have that huge backlog, but how knows...I'm just staying positive as much as I can... :'(

And also there is not a lot of ppl on forum posting their timeline, and also when they got nominated they totally forget about forum, which I understand totally...but as I said we gotta stay positive and it will come...

yea i know...they should have given decisions on more files thsn they did now.... bcz if we say technically they are closed form March 31st and I can't understand why they are still stuck on July/August 14 files .. Do they got thousands of the files in only july/august months or they like to work only on those months files lol.... As I believe they are lazy bums sitting there doing nothing just waiting for our work permits to expires and when they say sorry !! I am so fed up form hearing that they are still processing july/aug 14 files from last 7 months.....

New act to improve pathways to permanent residency

B.C. has introduced legislation as a foundation for the Province's role in selecting newcomers to the province.

The Provincial Immigration Programs Act will help B.C. meet its economic development priorities by providing a legislative framework to select newcomers under the existing BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) as well as any future immigration agreements with the federal government.

Primary authority for immigration lies with the federal government and the Canada-B.C.Immigration Agreement sets out the terms for federal and provincial co-operation on immigration matters, including the BC Provincial Nominee Program. Recent changes to federal immigration programs have increased the number of applications to the BC PNP. Each year B.C. receives a limited allocation of BC PNP nominations from the federal government and needs to ensure it is making the best use of those nominations.

This new act will provide a transparent framework to strengthen the administration of immigration programs in B.C. The legislation has three main objectives. They are:

1. Increase transparency in the administration of immigration programs
Set out statutory decision making authority for immigration programs by assigning that authority to a director of immigration programs.
Implement a formal process and timelines for reviewing applications that are refused.
2. Protecting the integrity of immigration programs
Improve collection, use and disclosure of applicant information with the federal government
Identify and stop fraud by allowing the province to cancel applications where fraud is discovered and banning those found to be making fraudulent applications from applying to provincial programs for two years.
Conduct inspections to monitor compliance with program requirements.
3. Fees and cost recovery
Clearly outline the provinces authority to collect and set fee amounts for applying to immigration programs ensuring program costs are recovered and the taxpayer is respected.

How much money you guys are showing for POF?, or are BC EXP ENTRY PNP applicants don't have to show POF? Only the minimum income instructed in bc pnp website

Yes i have applied on 30th June, paper based application. BC EE under international Graduate

hi! i really just want to ask. Maybe somebody can help me. Can I apply for BC PNP even if I do not have a job offer. I am worried I wont get the required points to be nominated.

BCPNP is not accepting new applications currently, they will starting 2016.
And it will not work without job offer, because that's how bcpnp system works, only if you have job offer!

So I got really but good news!

Friend of mine applied for bcpnp semi skill on March 31. 2015(last day before closing), she got her nomination on Friday!
