The annoying thing is that we just sent our applications to stay as visitors on Sunday, basically wasted $200 Sad Is there any way I can withdraw that application and get a refund or use those $200 towards our work permit applications?

Ok just in case anybody interested.
You can get a refund on an application. Talked to CIC Call Center rep. She left a note on my visitor application that I would like to withdraw it and explained why.
The rest is up to the person processing the application. I might get a refund in 4-8 weeks.

They just started processing 3800-4000.
If your AOR # is 55**, it might happen to be analysed in 3-4 months from now, considering that they analyse 20-25 applications/business day.

Ummmm. My friend's Fn is 41XX. He received the application couple days ago. Are you sure they are still reviewing 3800-4000 ??

One more question, on the PNP website, the listed processing time is 10 months long. Is that possible that I get my application reviewed before the 10th month??

BTW, at the time i submitted my application, the processing time was only 5-6 months

As far as I know, the ones that got their approval which file # is over 4000, they are lucky! That could happen, of course, but I know a few people with number around 3700 and 3900 that were not nominated yet. My file number is 39**, and nothing yet.

Could happen to them to process your file earlier than the time mentioned, but I would not count on that. You could be the lucky one that will get the file reviewed before the expected time, but the odds are the same of gambling! =)

There are some lucky ones that were approved with the file # over 4000 when they were processing 3400. But as a said, you could not rely on that!

At the end, no one know how exactly PNP Office select the files to analyse, I can tell that there is nothing to do with the NOC code, Mine is NOC A, and I know people with file # grater than mine that applied on NOC B that were already nominated. I believe that each officer takes a certain number of file to process, and some of them are faster than others, that is why they don't follow the file number to process.

Hopefully, my file will be processed soon, I am really tired of this waiting, and the guessing of how they work!

Forgot the answer the last question!
For me was the same... by the time that I applied, was 5-6 months, and it even shows in my AOR e-mail.

Unfortunately, they don't care about it, they can just change it. Look at one e-mail that I got from the recently. (Once I can't post links, I had to change it bellow, if you want to access, just add the welcomebc site before it).
