BC PNP applications after July 2015

PNP BC is open again for a limited intake of high skilled roles earning $100k per year and over.

In the FAQ's for this release, there was some info on the current cases:

What about people already in the queue?
 The BC PNP continues to focus on processing the applications of people who have
already applied.
 We have added 18 additional case review officers to help process the existing
inventory to speed up processing times.
 The November 10 intake is limited to 50 applications.
 We expect that this intake will not impact processing times for those in the inventory.

What are you doing to reduce wait times?
 The Province receives a new allocation of BC PNP nominations from the Federal
government in January 2016.
 At that time, the BC PNP will have a new points-based skills intake system requiring
an invitation to apply.
 Points will be given to applicants whose skills and experience line up with B.C.’s
economic development priorities.
 This new intake system will not only help us reduce wait times, it will also ensure
we’re nominating the best candidates for permanent residency.
 The BC PNP has assessed more than 4,400 applications so far in 2015 and is on
track to meet the target of 5,500 nominations this calendar year

BC PNP online portal is down for upgrades until 12.30pm local time today.

Upgrades to be able to do approvals? Right? Right? (Not clutching at straws at all, just saying that it would be the worlds best early Christmas gift is all).

Great news, bc pnp updated processing time only 4 to 5 months for June - Aug applicants, the good news is not too far!

where did you see the updated processing times? I hope that this good news is for real!! Do you have a link or somewhere I can view this info?

I applied when the PNP reopened after the 3 month pause on July 2nd so its been 4 months and 10 days! unfortunately I have not heard nothing yet, just says submitted on my BC PNP online.

Hello Everyone,

I have applied to reg BC PNP in Feb,2015. I am eligible to apply for express entry now.I am wondering if they will now update my file to express entry?
what is the procedure to update file ? Do I have to create profile for fed express entry ? I tried creating profile for fed from my cic but it looks like I do not have enough points. any suggestions ? should i wait or it will be better to go with bc pnp express entry?

Hi folks,

I am waiting to hear from bc pnp about my approval, hopefully I will get in one month. If I change my employer will that effect my pr application? The job offer I might get is under same noc but different company in bc. Is there any way a employer can contact pnp to withdraw the pnp application before or after?

I just stopped by the office yesterday. They said my file has been reviewed by an officer and is now pending the final stages. I applied exactly four months ago, July 20th. Up to 30 days for final answer. Fingers crossed for everyone.

Nice work omstar.

Lots of the older paper based guys from last year got some action this week which is good, they have taken the time to clear the backlog.

If we are going to stay within the processing times, should hear something this week.
