Hii guys...welcome 2014...

Today i called bcpnp office...i said my14 weeks over 3 days ago but didnt receive anything..how. long i should wait for any reply?

The lady very helpful said me your file is in process. She said some files are taking tooo much time and your file is one of them. It doesnt mean that you will get negetive response. Dont worry you will get response soon. She also said that your file is on my computer. Please dont worry about your file. You can call bcpnp anytime.

I feel sooo relax after talking with her.....

Does the 16 weeks include Christmas vacation? If not, it's 18 weeks. That's way too long, I'm running out of my patience!
Normally, they talk about work days instead of calender day.

The processing time varies because of the number of application. The number of staff is fixed and they wouldn't speed up the assessment because of more applications. They don't care about this until the backlog is really too much, the authority might hire more staffs but it needs budget and through approval process too. Government does thing always like that.

Be patient and good luck.

Having a spouse in your application will make no difference what so ever to the processing time. They obviously just have a lot of applications at the moment which is why everything is taking so long. The processing time is only a guide base on the amount of current applications in the system

Your application will be assessed against the LICO for a family of 2 instead of one but that's about it with regards to your spouse

I know It's a stressful time, I've been there, but everyone try your best to be patient, calling and calling only makes a higher work load and results in even longer processing times.

Good luck

I fully agree with Tee1.

Making calls add more load to the staff and results in longer processing time.

good luck to all of us in the new year.

I'm not recommending making phone calls, and I never called. But I think they have receptionists whose job is to receive phone calls, so it won't make the process longer

Yes for general questions and answers, I believe. But for detailed information about the application, it may go to the staff taking care of the application, I guess.
